Results

After a 6 week trial, a Luzerne County jury awarded $6.25 million against a Harrisburg Hospital and its physicians for failing to treat gastric volvulus in a 3-year-old child who died as a result of severe gastrointestinal obstruction and stomach perforation. An additional $1.55 million was added to this award for interest in delay damages.
