A Luzerne County jury awarded nearly $8.8 million in the case of a state trooper who was struck and severely injured in the line of duty by a drunk driver.
Plaintiff’s decedent, an accountant, was killed in a head-on collision while traveling on I-81 in Susquehanna County. A tractor-trailer sustained a blowout of the front left tire, crossed the median and struck the decedent’s vehicle.
