A jury awarded nearly $10.4 million to the parents of an infant who died from brain damage suffered during delivery at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
After a 6 week trial, a Luzerne County jury awarded $6.25 million against a Harrisburg Hospital and it’s physicians for failing to treat gastric volvulus in a 3-year-old child who died as a result of severe gastrointestinal obstruction and stomach perforation. An additional $1.55 million was added to this award for interest in delay damages.
