Attorney Michael A. Lombardo is an attorney on Hourigan, Kluger, & Quinn Law’s Personal Injury Team (HK&Q®). His practice focuses primarily on all types of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, truck & trailer accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, and other complex litigation matters. He also represents a number of local fire and ambulance companies and community groups. Attorney Lombardo has handled personal injury cases from start to finish in all types of proceedings, including mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials.
Attorney Lombardo was born and raised in Pittston, where he served three consecutive terms as a member of Pittston City Council. During his time working for the citizens of Pittston, he served as Director of the Department of Accounts and Finance. He was also instrumental in establishing Pittston’s Home Rule government. Additionally, Attorney Lombardo had the distinguished honor of serving as Deputy Mayor for the City of Pittston. A former president of the Greater Pittston YMCA, he is still active in the organization and numerous other community groups such as Leadership Northeast, the Wilkes-Barre chapter of UNICO, Knights of Columbus (Third Degree), the Italian American Association of Luzerne County and the Pittston Tomato Festival Committee. He is a member of the St. Joseph Marello Parish community in Pittston.
Attorney Lombardo’s background brings a unique perspective to his auto accident cases. Prior to his legal studies, he served as a Pittston firefighter and EMT. Because he has been part of vehicle rescue operations, he knows firsthand what accident victims go through. He continues to serve on the Greater Pittston Regional Ambulance board of directors as Vice President. He is also an active firefighter and a state-certified emergency medical technician. Attorney Lombardo is currently the Director of the Department of Public Safety for the City of Pittston and serves on the executive board of EMS of northeastern Pennsylvania, where he also acts as counsel.
His accomplishments as an attorney have been consistently recognized by his peers, as he has been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers and a Super Lawyers "Rising Star" over the past several years. Additionally, he was named to the National Trial Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40” list and Best Lawyers in America list and is a member of the "Million Dollar Advocates Forum." He received numerous academic awards while attending law school at The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, and he also is an honors graduate of King’s College, from which he received the school’s prestigious “Leo Award,” given annually to an outstanding alumnus.
